This program is for you if you've experienced loss of abdominal muscle tone and/or developed back pain or poor posture. These exercises develop healthy core integration. Pregnancy (and abdominal surgery) change abdominal muscle tone, balance and movement; somatic exercises retrain muscles, movement and postural organization to a healthy, well-integrated pattern for well-balanced movement and well-coordinated musculature. Before delivery, maintain your comfort. Have a better delivery. After delivery, recover your strength and get back your shape. After abdominal surgery, all surgical wounds should have healed before doing these exercises. The exercises develop better integration (strength, ability to relax, coordination) of all four abdominal muscle layers:
